Brooks smoke and heat alarms, so technologically advanced that they are changing the face of smoke detection. The Brooks system offers a new dimension in which to detect smoke and heat hazards in your home.

Brooks smoke and heat alarms "talk to each other" using RadioLINK technology ..... wireless... without the need for internet! Testing smoke and heat alarms is completed from the safety of the floor - NO ladders to fall from nor chairs to break. The batteries used are Panasonic Lithium giving a 10 year + life expectancy.

SMOKE AND HEAT DETECTION WITH PEACE OF MIND - what more could you want!

RadioLINK Photoelectric (Optical) Smoke Alarm

EiB605TYCRF sml.jpgThe EIB605TYCRF is an Optical Smoke Alarm using the light scatter principle, giving a quick response to all standard domestic fire types.
The EIB605TYCRF supports wireless interconnection of up to 12 smoke alarms and 8 Remote Control devices. A unique housecoding feature prevents the system from communicating with other nearby systems. Remote Control Switches (EIB411RF and EIB450) may be added to the system to provide remote Locate, Test and Hush functionality. The EIB605TYCRF is designed for simple installation, commissioning and maintenance. The EIB605TYCRF has a large, easy to use, combined Test/Hush button enables full testing of the alarm and the ability to silence false alarms.

EIB Alarm Controller

EIB450 sml.jpgThe primary function of the EIB450 controller is to facilitate easy and frequent testing of the alarm system when in standby mode.
When the system is in alarm the EIB450 provides the following control functions:

  • Isolate the source alarm by silencing all the other alarms in the system. This is known as the Locate function.
  • Silence all the alarms in the system for a period of 10 minutes.

The control feature allows the home owner to quickly establish if there is a real alarm situation and take the appropriate action.
The EIB450 is also fitted with Fire and CO warning icons to indicate the source of the alarm in real
time or memory

Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarm

Always fit a CO alarm in rooms with fuel burning appliances

EI208DWRF sml.jpg
The EI208DW Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarm is supplied with a powered-for-life sealed lithium battery and an RF interconnect module. Using the unique house code feature, an interconnected system will sound all alarms when one detects CO.
The  EI208DW alarm has a high performance, proven electrochemical sensor to sense CO presence. The sensor is individually calibrated and tested in Carbon Monoxide (CO) gas to ensure accuracy.
EI208DW LCD displays CO level, status messages and icons. The memory feature records the last CO alarm level and can be useful to check if CO has been present while the home owner or tenant has been absent from the property. An easy to use Test/Hush button allows the user to check the alarm. This checks all aspects of the alarm (sensor, electronics, battery and sounder).
The EI208DW has an “End of Life” indicator which will notify the user when the alarm needs replacing at the end of its 6 year operational life.

Relay Base (Control extender)

useful for turning on lights, strobes etc upon activation

EIB428RF sml.jpgThe EIB428RF Relay Base is a device that switches a relay upon receipt of an alarm signal from a suitable alarm. The EIB428RF relay base is primarily designed to work with the range of RadioLINK products, but for additional flexibility it can also be used with conventional hard wired interconnect systems.

The EIB428RF Relay Base is powered by 230VAC mains and has rechargeable battery backup cells (in the event of a mains failure). As supplied the relay operates continuously but can be easily adjusted to pulse condition.
The electrically isolated contacts can be used for many applications such as signalling, turning on lights, strobes etc. The EIB428RF uses advanced radio transceiver technology with unique software coding to transmit and receive the radio signals. The transmissions are frequency modulated (FM) and use Manchester coding to ensure robust signal integrity and avoid signal noise interference. The EIB428RF has built in circuitry to aid suppression of voltage transients and RF interference.

Heat Activated Smoke Alarm

EIB603TYCRF sml.jpgThe EIB603TYCRF alarm is activated by heat from a fire,  not smoke, which makes it ideal for kitchen installations where smoke detectors are prone to nuisance alarms.
The EIB603TYCRF has a 10 Year Lithium battery that is on replaceable.
The EIB603TYCRF is interconnected to other smoke / heat alarms in the dwelling or escape routes to ensure that all occupants are alerted to the danger.
Up to 12 battery powered smoke and heat alarms may be linked using hardwire or RF connectivity. RadioLINK enabled smoke and/or heat alarms can be house coded as a system to prevent communication with other nearby RadioLINK systems.

Photoelectric (Optical) Smoke Alarm

EiB605C sml.jpg

The EIB605TYC is an Photoelectric (Optical) Smoke Alarm using the light scatter principle, giving a quick response to all standard fires. There is no requirement to replace cells as the Lithium cells will power the alarm for more than 10 years. The non replaceable cell and tamper proof design limits the possibility of the alarm being disabled.
The EIB605TYC is designed for simple installation, commissioning and maintenance.
The EIB605TYC has a large, easy to use, combined Test/Hush button enables full testing of the alarm and the ability to silence nuisance alarms.
The EIB605TYC has an innovative high performance optical chamber with integral fixed insect screen reducing the possibility of nuisance alarms. The EIB605TYC may be hardwire interconnected to twelve
battery powered alarms enabling all alarms to sound if just one of the interconnected alarms should be triggered.
The EIB605TYC modular design allows it to be upgraded for functionality with the addition of the EIB605MRF Radio frequency module

Smoke and Heat Alarms for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

EIB170RF sml.jpg

Designed to be either wall or surface mounted the EIB170RF is a RadioLINK alarm system designed to give warning to the deaf and hard of hearing. It consists of a control box with integral strobe and a plug-in vibration pad.
For use with Brooks Mains Powered Easi–Fit alarm models EIB141, EIB144, EIB146, when mounted on an EIB168RF RadioLINK base. The EIB170RF can be used with any of the Brooks RadioLink range of smoke alarms and accessories including
the EIB3100RF, EIB3105RF, EIB405TYRF and the EIB1 68RF base. The EIB170RF is designed to be powered from a permanent mains power supply. It also contains a sealed lead-acid rechargeable battery that provides back-up power in the event of mains failure. Standby capacity is 7 days (followed by 4 minutes alarm), lifespan 5 years in normal use. The battery is initially activated by plugging the lead into the socket in the battery compartment. The control box contains RadioLINK RF circuitry. It has a built-in high intensity Xenon strobe with a specially designed lens that provides a wide-angle light output. An integral ‘Test’ button is also present on the front of the unit, allowing an easy means of testing the strobe, vibration pad and the RadioLINK bases/alarms in the system.
The vibration pad has a simple plug-in connection to the control box and is designed to be placed under a pillow to wake people who fail to respond to the visual strobe.
The EIB170RF uses advanced transceive and signal coding technology to ensure robust and reliable RF signaling.
